Privacy Policy

What personal data we collect, why, who processes it, and the rights you have.

Draft policy · to be finalized before launch.

Who we are

The American Money Trap is operated by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], a business registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce / KvK no. [NUMBER]), [STREET ADDRESS], [POSTCODE] [CITY], the Netherlands. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact: [PRIVACY EMAIL].

What we collect

  • Newsletter: your email address, the date and source of your signup, and your consent record.
  • Purchases: handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. We receive your name, email, order details and country, but never your card details.
  • Messages you send us: the content of the message and your contact details.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the site.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.

  • Sending the newsletter and free downloads: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Delivering purchases and support: performance of a contract.
  • Accounting and tax records: legal obligation.
  • Site security and abuse prevention: our legitimate interest.

Who processes it

[EMAIL PROVIDER NAME] (newsletter delivery), Lemon Squeezy (payments, tax and file delivery), and Cloudflare (hosting and security). Some providers are based in the United States; transfers are protected by [TRANSFER MECHANISM].

How long we keep it

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for the period required by Dutch tax law (generally seven years). Messages are deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email [PRIVACY EMAIL]. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local authority.

U.S. residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
